Serving the Basotho
in Lesotho.

Great Commission Lesotho exists to make disciples among the Basotho people.

Engage the Basotho with the gospel. Build relationships. Disciple. Train leaders. Plant churches.

Evangelism & Discipleship

The gospel is shared with the Basotho through the Two Kingdoms presentation, contrasting the kingdoms of light and darkness. They are invited to leave the bondage of darkness and find freedom in Jesus. Discipleship lessons help them understand their new life in Christ and how to share it with others. Through training, they learn to study and apply Scripture as they grow in their relationship with Jesus. Those who memorize seven verses receive their first Bible.

Trauma Healing

In partnership with Multiplying Hope, participants hear and practice Bible stories while sharing their own in a safe, supportive environment. As they connect with these stories and feel heard, many encounter Christ’s love for the first time. This process fosters hope, healing, and a sense of purpose as they entrust their pain to God and begin anew.

Pastor Training

Due to limited theological training in Lesotho, we partner with World Hope Ministries to equip pastors and church leaders. Church partners help teach key theological topics, empowering Basotho to train fellow Basotho and multiply the impact nationwide. We also support pastors with practical training for daily shepherding.

Orphan Care Ministry

Lesotho has one of the highest rates of orphans and vulnerable children globally. We partner with local communities, Basotho churches, and a U.S. organization to develop sustainable, biblical strategies for their care. Our goal is to equip and encourage churches through vision casting, training, and support as they care for these children.
