Gather together.
Come learn.
Leave ready to share.

The Gathering Place.

The past two years have been quite an adventure. Our faith has been stretched and deepened. God has accomplished what only He can. In May of 2022, our home lease was terminated due to area development. We were surprised by this but knew God was not. With no other housing available, we fully trusted God to supply us with housing and a temporary place to stay. We knew He was not calling us back to the States, so we sought His will and watched Him work. He was so faithful and provided us with land. It was undeveloped; We had never done anything like this, but God provided the people and the means to accomplish His will. The days were long and hard. Many lessons were learned in patience and endurance. God revealed much about His sovereignty and character, and we learned much about ourselves. Our faith grew, and our relationship with Him and each other deepened in unimaginable ways.

God began revealing his plans for ministry on the land he provided. We named the land “The Gathering Place” (TGP). Our vision for TGP is for people to gather together, come learn, and leave ready to share. God has brought many people together in our first nine months at TGP. What a joy it has been to watch Him continue to work during the development of TGP. - Stan & Angie

  • Phase I

    Land & Home Development (Completed)

In 2022-2023, God provided the funding necessary to begin developing the land and building a home on property.

A road was constructed through the fields. A water well drilled. Perimeter fencing built. Plumbing and a septic tank completed. A container home and guard house constructed. Solar power secured, and a connection to the Lesotho electricity grid completed.

God provided the connections we needed to make this happen, and opened up new ministry opportunities.

  • Phase II

    Classroom & Guest Accommodations
    Total Cost: $100,000
(Classroom $45k, Guest Accommodations $25k, Rondavel $17k, Land Development $13k)

God has given us a vision to build a classroom to gather the Basotho people for Biblical training: theological education for pastors and church leaders, Bible teaching & tutoring for local Basotho children, women’s ministry, trauma healing groups, discipleship intensives, ministry with the local village soccer teams, and evangelism through English lessons, cooking classes, and sewing classes.

We also plan to build a block of rooms to accommodate volunteers from partnership churches, missionaries, and local Basotho coming for training or needing a safe place for a short stay.

The third building planned in Phase II is a rondavel, the traditional Basotho housing, which will provide a separate, peaceful and restful retreat for guests serving with us or fellow missionaries needing respite.

  • Phase III

    Fields of Hope

We plan to purchase additional fields and initiate an agricultural project (potatoes, cabbage, corn, etc.) to provide for local Basotho in need in the fields adjacent to The Gathering Place.

Please pray with us as we seek God’s will for future developments and ministry opportunities within these fields.

The work isn’t finished. Let’s partner together!
